Raising Resilience is guided by a board of leaders who bring lived experience, professional expertise, and a shared commitment to advancing Black maternal mental health. Our board supports the vision, accountability, and sustainability of our work while ensuring our programs remain community-informed, equity-centered, and rooted in care.

Board Chair
Gabrielle Hawkins
Gabrielle Hawkins is a public health and health administration leader whose work centers on using data-driven strategies to advance health equity, workforce resilience, and quality improvement across healthcare systems. She brings a strong background in analytics, systems-level thinking, and program evaluation to support sustainable, impact-focused growth at Raising Resilience.
Her passion lies in strengthening Black women’s mental health through community-informed data, equitable program design, and resilience-focused initiatives that respond to real-world needs. As Board Chair, Gabrielle helps guide organizational strategy, governance, and long-term vision, ensuring Raising Resilience remains accountable to both its mission and the communities it serves.

Advocacy & Reproductive Justice Chair
Eunique Washington
Eunique Washington serves as the Advocacy & Reproductive Justice Chair, bringing both professional experience and lived perspective to her leadership. She is an aspiring law student and Pilates instructor committed to advancing equitable legal, health, and reproductive justice outcomes for Black women and families.
As a mother, Eunique’s own birth story deeply informs her advocacy. Meeting her son strengthened her dedication to grassroots efforts and reinforced her commitment to listening to, supporting, and connecting with mothers across diverse experiences. In her role, she helps ensure Raising Resilience remains grounded in reproductive justice, community voice, and policy-informed advocacy that honors lived experience.

Strategic & Innovation Chair
Tenisha Patterson Brown, Esq.
Tenisha Patterson Brown, Esq. serves as the Strategic & Innovation Chair, supporting the vision, growth, and long-term strategy of Raising Resilience. She is the President of Off The Field (OTF) and a respected sports attorney, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as the founder of Definitive Sports Group.
Tenisha is also the co-founder of the Everette Brown Bag Foundation, which supports health and wellness in rural communities and addresses childhood hunger. A passionate advocate for Black women’s reproductive and emotional wellness, she is deeply committed to supporting those navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and reproductive grief. Her leadership brings strategic insight, heart-centered guidance, and a deep commitment to culturally responsive, compassionate care.

Healthcare & Advocacy Chair
Dr. Tiffani Jones
Dr. Tiffani Jones is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with nearly 15 years of clinical experience at Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. She provides both low- and high-risk obstetric care and is deeply committed to improving health outcomes for women, with a particular focus on reducing disparities affecting Black women.
A graduate of Meharry Medical College, Dr. Jones completed her residency at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans. She serves on multiple hospital committees and nonprofit boards and is passionate about community engagement, developing future healthcare leaders, and advancing holistic care that supports both physical and mental well-being for women and families.

Community Fundraising & Partnership Development Chair
Alberta Grace Anthony
Alberta Grace Anthony serves as the Community Fundraising & Partnership Development Chair, where she leads relationship-centered fundraising and cultivates grassroots partnerships that support Black maternal wellness. She is an Air Force veteran, mother of twins, wellness brand founder, and pre-nursing student whose work is shaped by lived experience and trauma-aware care.
Alberta approaches fundraising as trust-building, visibility as stewardship, and impact as something grown slowly and with intention. Her leadership helps ensure that support for Black mothers remains accessible, dignified, and sustainable, while strengthening community investment in Raising Resilience’s mission.

Treasurer
Brittney Davis
Brittney Davis serves as Treasurer of Raising Resilience, bringing expertise in accounting, budgeting, and financial oversight to support the organization’s long-term sustainability. Her work focuses on fiscal accountability, transparent systems, and responsible stewardship of resources in alignment with community needs.
Guided by values and purpose, Brittney centers the mental, emotional, and overall well-being of Black mothers in her financial leadership. Her role ensures that Raising Resilience can grow with integrity while remaining rooted in healing-centered, community-driven impact.
